Migdal Hamalka is a Hebrew dedicatory title refer- ring to queenly beauty.  It is also a reference to a term in chess meaning: “Castle on the Queen Side” which is notated as  O-O-O.

Harry Taub has been associate concertmaster of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra over 40 years and was, prior to that, in the first violin section of the Cleveland Orchestra.  He is a native of Buffalo, NY, and a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory.  He is a veteran of WW II Combat Infantry Regiment in Europe and the holder of the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, four battle stars and the Presidential Citation.

Gorgeous music that good orchestras will enjoy playing. Moderate Allegretto tempo, beautiful haunting phrases.
